How to practice

Lie on your back and gently arrange your legs into Lotus Pose. Lift your hips and torso over your shoulders, supporting your back with your palms. Reach the crossed legs upward in line with your torso, keep your neck still, and breathe steadily.

Benefits

Combines controlled shoulder-supported balance with hip rotation and coordination of the folded legs.

Who should avoid or modify

  • Requires comfortable lotus and a stable shoulderstand under expert supervision. Do not force the knees or turn the head; avoid with neck injury, glaucoma, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or pregnancy.
